José Francisco Sedeño
Biological Father of Elisabeth Vera
Through AncestryDNA and 23andMe testing, we have confirmed that Elisabeth’s biological father is José Francisco Sedeño.
One of seven children, Frank was born and raised in Delano, California. His father was Aristeo Sedeño, and his mother was Teresa Saldaña. Frank was a United States Air Force veteran who served as an Air Force policeman and was stationed in Greenland and Merced, California.
He raised seven children: Adrian, Donald, Ronald, Francine, Stephanie, Franky (RIP), and Paco, as well as four stepchildren: Dalia, Danise, Daniel, and Damian.
Frank was also a certified auto mechanic and owned his own gas station at C Street and Hill Street in Oxnard, California. Later, he became a certified alcohol and drug counselor, working with Khepera, Interface, and the County of Ventura.
Papa Frank was a music aficionado and self-taught trumpet player. He was an avid reader who loved books, newspapers, and documentaries and always kept up with current events. He was a huge fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco 49ers, and tennis, especially Venus and Serena Williams.
He loved to travel and was known for driving around in his ’56 Chevy Nomad with the custom “SEDENO” license plate. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone experiencing car trouble on the side of the road.
Francisco Sedeño unfortunately passed away in July 2020, before learning that Elisabeth was his biological daughter. He now rests near Elisabeth; his son Franky; his sister Josefina; and his father, Aristeo, at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard, California.
